St Joseph’s Primary School Broadstairs is celebrating a late Autumn windfall in the shape of a cheque for £200 kindly donated by Asda Broadstairs as part of their community good causes scheme.

Our early years mud kitchen scheme caught the imagination of Asda shoppers who used the in store token scheme to raise vital funds to galvanise this project for the benefit of all our infants.

Tracy Ballard, our local Asda Community Champion, presented the cheque to our year 1 class who can’t wait to be unleash their messy play ideas to ensure the new area has a suitably muddy baptism !

Designed to promote role play, imagination and creativity, teamwork and sheer good fun, the mud kitchen is destined to become a much loved additional learning platform. Our grateful thanks go to all the Asda customers and to Tracy who supported our muddy cause !
