Have you got a child at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, or are you a member of staff? Then you can be a member of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

What the PTA does

Raises money through fun events:

  • The Summer Fair
  • The Christmas Fair
  • Blue Bag Donation Days
  • Children’s Discos
  • Antiques Fairs

Other fund raising ideas are always welcome!

The money raised is spent in areas that enrich the children’s education, such as:

  • IT equipment
  • PE equipment
  • Books
  • Playtime equipment – Climbing and activity equipment for outside area.
  • Helps the school
  • Helps with Holy Communion
  • Supports charity fundraising
  • Supports the school with volunteers on school outings
  • Provides farewell party for Year 6

A plea to all those parents out there!

If you are a parent reading this and don’t feel you can commit to the PTA as a committee member just yet, but would like to assist us in events like the Summer and Christmas fairs, then please make a committee member aware so we may add your contact details to our list of willing helpers.  You can be put in touch with a committee member easily by asking any of the school office team.  We appreciate any help you can give on the day of the event but also help with preparations leading up to events.
