School Meals

Our school meals provider is Caterlink Ltd. All children in Key stage 1 are entitled to a free school lunch under government rules, but this must be signed up for in advance on a termly basis. Please note that this is also necessary for children taking a hot meal in KS2, to ensure adequate provision is made.  The menu rotates over three weeks and changes each seasonal term.  The menu is subject to change and various theme days are offered throughout the year which are available to all children who order in advance.  The current cost of a meal for children in KS2 is £2 per day, payable weekly in advance.

Free School Meals and Pupil Premium Grant

You may already know that if you are in receipt of certain benefits then your child may be entitled to receive  free school meals which means that your child will also benefit from extra Government funding called the Pupil Premium Grant.  This is available to all children even if they already receive a free school meal in KS1 through the government ruling.    This is a crucial additional pot of money that the school receives and which can be used directly to support your child’s education, helping to pay for things like extra 1:1 or small group teaching, trips etc.

If you think you may be eligible we would urge you to apply now –  the process is very quick and simple and is completely confidential.  You can either visit the Government website:

or you can ask the school office who will be happy to apply on your behalf.
