St. Joseph’s Troop “Salute” Thanet Schools’ Dance Competition

What do you call a number one hit song, 14 dancers and 3 weeks of practise?
The answer is the St Joseph’s Dance Troop who showcased their dance interpretation of “Salute” by Little Mix at the recent Thanet Schools’ Dance Competition held at St Lawrence College.
Facing stiff competition from 9 other Schools, the 14 strong squad of Year 5 and 6 dancers showcased a disciplined, energetic take on the song with all the professional hallmarks one would expect from a squad formed and coached by Mrs Sproates whose eye for detail, timing and artistic flair are second to none. Although we still await the final results, the whole squad performed well under pressure in front of a large audience and demonstrated the type of teamwork and support that is always such a positive feature of the competition.
Whilst all the dancers gave a confident and committed performance, Mrs Sproates would like to single out Karolina for overcoming her nerves and rising to the occasion with a polished, enthusiastic performance.
